1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Barracuda SEO ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including without limitation users who are browsers, vendors, customers, merchants, and contributors of content.

2. Description of Service

Barracuda SEO is a web-based SEO crawler and auditing tool that helps you discover, organize, and fix technical SEO issues. The Service includes:

  • Website crawling and analysis capabilities
  • SEO issue detection and prioritization
  • Team collaboration features
  • Integration with third-party services (Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Slack, Google Drive)
  • Data visualization and reporting tools

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must:

  • Create an account with accurate and complete information
  • Maintain and update your account information as necessary
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Be at least 18 years old or have parental consent
  • Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
  • Violate or infringe upon the rights of others, including intellectual property rights
  • Transmit any harmful code, viruses, or malicious software
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service
  • Use the Service to crawl websites without proper authorization
  • Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Service without permission
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service except through authorized APIs
  • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation

5. User Content and Data

You retain ownership of all data, content, and information you upload or provide to the Service ("User Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to:

  • Store, process, and display your User Content as necessary to provide the Service
  • Use anonymized, aggregated data for analytics and service improvement

You represent and warrant that:

  • You have the right to provide User Content to the Service
  • Your User Content does not violate any third-party rights
  • You have obtained necessary permissions to crawl and analyze websites you submit

6. Subscription and Billing

6.1 Subscription Plans

The Service offers different subscription tiers (Free, Pro, Team). Subscription fees, features, and limits are described on our pricing page and may change with notice.

6.2 Payment

For paid subscriptions:

  • Fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
  • Payments are processed securely through Stripe
  • All fees are non-refundable except as required by law or at our discretion
  • You are responsible for any applicable taxes

6.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will continue to have access to paid features until the end of the billing period.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by Barracuda SEO and is protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service or included software, nor may you reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of that software, except as permitted by law.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services (e.g., Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Slack, Google Drive). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of third-party services. You use these integrations at your own risk.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement
  • Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
  • Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of crawl results or analysis

We do not guarantee that the Service will meet your requirements or that any errors will be corrected.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL BARRACUDA SEO, ITS AFFILIATES, OR THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
  • Damages resulting from your use or inability to use the Service

Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Barracuda SEO and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any rights of another.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, if you:

  • Violate these Terms
  • Engage in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
  • Fail to pay subscription fees when due

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. We may delete your account and data, though we may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by:

  • Posting the updated Terms on this page
  • Updating the "Last updated" date
  • Sending you an email notification (for significant changes)

Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the Service.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Barracuda SEO operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of that jurisdiction.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
